Garden: Wander through Gladbrook’s expansive lawn and mature garden, abound with colourful roses and some of the district’s most notable trees. Make your stay eco-friendly and plant a tree. Enquire within.

Historic Building Tour: This walking tour includes Gladbrook’s original homestead and woolshed both built in the late 1850s, cattle stables for the stud angus bulls, the first building on the property – and arguably the oldest building in the district – and the smithy, where horseshoes were once made for working horses on the property. Map included.

Farm and Rock & Pillar Walks: Take a self-guided walk across the property to link up with the Department of Conservation (DOC) track that will take you to the very top of the Rock and Pillar Range.

Tennis: Enjoy a game of tennis on the concrete court located on the edge of the lawn. Tennis racquets and balls are supplied.

Croquet: Step back in time and enjoy a game of croquet on the lawn in front of the homestead before sitting down to high tea.

Board Games/Reading: For those inside days there are plenty of board games and fascinating books to keep you entertained.
